The Norwegian Air Force’s jet F-16 mistakenly fired shots on control tower with three workers inside. Miraculously, no one was harmed during the incident.
Two Norwegian Air Force’s F-16s were performing attack drills on an enemy station in deserted island. One of the fighters mistakenly opened fire on the control tower from M61 Vulcan cannon that is capable of tearing the building into pieces. The air traffic control officers were in the tower during the drills. They commented that the attacks was so fast, they could not grasp what was going on.
As strange as it may seem, this is not the first incident to the tower. It was shot by another F-16 in 2009, with one round hitting the building
