Bangladesh’s United Airways suspends operations again

United Airways has again, at least temporarily, suspended operations. Having already not operated between mid-January and February 24, the carrier has now again suspended operations after its only operational ATR72-200 has been grounded for maintenance.

In a e-mail sent to affected customers seen by the Bangladeshi paper, the airline says that “due to unavoidable circumstances and tactical reasons” flights were “suspended until further advice”.

United has last operated international services in January, during its recent short resumption of services, the carrier has only operated domestic flights in Bangladesh. Its fleet includes five MD-83s, three ATR72-200s and a single Dash 8-100, all aircraft are currently grounded for technical reasons.
