A Sikorsky S-76C++ operated by Bristow Helicopters (Nigeria) Limited with the Registration: 5N-BQJ met an accident yesterday on 03-FEB-2016 at 10:25 LT; near 70 Nautical Miles off Lagos – Nigeria.
Bristow Helicopters (Nigeria) Limited, confirmed today that one of its helicopters, was involved in a controlled water landing near Lagos at about 10.25 a.m. local time on return from an offshore platform. The aircraft, a Sikorsky S-76C++, had departed on a routine crew transfer flight offshore with nine passengers and a crew of two. All persons onboard were transferred to a nearby installation with only minor injuries. It was a Non Scheduled Passenger flight with 11 passengers, which departed from ERHA Offshore Platform.
