On 14th October 2015, a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan of Microsurvey Aerogeofísica e Consultoria Cientifica crashed while carrying survey flight.
A Cessna 208B Grand Caravan survey aircraft was destroyed in an accident near Yumbillo in Colombia. All three occupants were killed. The aircraft, fitted with LIDAR equipment, operated on a survey flights out of Cali.
Preliminary official reports says, the registration number of the Cessna 208B Grand Caravan was “PR-MIC” (C/n / msn: 208B-0841) which was completely destroyed on impact; killing all three occupant on board. Earlier the aircraft departed Cali-Alfonso Bonilla Aragón Airport (CLO/SKCL), Colombia for survey operation. The matter is under investigation.
