Improved Biometric Technology
The Biocarts work by taking the fingerprints and photographs of each foreign visitor and sending that information to the immigration desk. This seemingly simple step is expected to significantly cut down on processing time for each traveller, reducing overall waiting times and taking some of the pressure off immigration staff.

The use of biometric technology has been steadily growing in popularity and has the potential to greatly streamline the immigration process, as well as many other security procedures in other settings. However, while the full capacity of this technology is still being explored, immigration staff have an important role to play in maintaining the safety and security of all visitors to the country.
