Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman (October 29, 1941 in Dhaka – August 20, 1971 in Thatta) was a hero; who dreamt about our free Bangladesh, when the Liberation War broke out in 1971.
On this very day, for his attempt to hijack a military plane T-33; from the PAF and support the state of Bangladesh, he embraced heroic death. For his bravery and sacrifice; he was decorated with the Bir Sreshtho award by Bangladesh which is the highest honor to a martyr. Our heartfelt respect, for this brave heart for his ultimate sacrifice for the motherland.
